Over the years that we’ve been shooting weddings we’ve noticed a common theme in almost all of our couples. After they get engaged they go through a lot of stressful planning in selecting their venues, attire, details, meetings with vendors, and trying to get their wedding day plans finalized.  Then they relax and life is smooth sailing for a while as the wedding approaches… Everything goes great until a few weeks before the wedding and then it seems that everyone freaks out! All of a sudden there is not enough time to finish all of the last minute tasks and the stress levels are through the roof.

Stop. Breath in, Breath out…

Weddings tend to get stressful at times, so at John Andrews Photography; we do everything we can to at least make the photography stress free.

Our shooting style is based on a relaxed methodology that focuses on what we like to call fine art photojournalism.  What does that mean?  In it’s basic form we act as quiet observers of this very cinematic day, making it our goal to capture all of the exquisite details and real moments of the occasion to tell your real story in an artistic and candid manner. All you need to do is relax and enjoy your wedding day and we’ll do the rest.  After the blur of the day is over, you’ll have treasure trove of images to hang in your home an album to relive your wedding day for years to come.

For clarification, we do step outside the quiet observer role to capture relaxed and formal portraits / group shots when appropriate.  Although we believe that the only way to truly tell the story of your day is to do so in a candid photojournalistic manner – there are many traditional elements that most certainly play a part in the overall complete photography coverage.  We work closely with our couples to ensure a balanced coverage that will even make Mom and Dad happy!
